Ramblings and a guest post! yay

I am trying here.. I promise I am! I was asked to do a guest post for DIY Davis Style, and came up with an AWESOME DIY Magnetic Chalk Board. I was so excited to do it, and it turned out great! Hop on over to her blog if you’d like to check it out.
I know I haven’t blogged since January, and here it is February 21st, and I’m just now getting back to it. Some things have just come up in life and work, and it has taken me for a ride this month. Do you ever feel like you’re struggling just to stay above the craziness? That’s a little how it’s been this month.
I have had some great trips though. We went to the mountains and had an amazing dinner with my parent’s best friends. That was a great little get away! The next weekend, I went to a friend’s sister’s wedding down in Atlanta. It was a Friday wedding, and it was perfect! GREAT food, GREAT music, and GREAT FRIENDS!!! I loved it! I took my sister with me as my “plus one” because the guy wasn’t able to take time off from work for a Friday wedding.
It worked out perfectly though, because on Saturday morning, my sister and I drove to Macon to visit my 90 year old grandmother. This woman may be 90 years old, but she beat our TAILS in Wii Bowling!!! She bowled strikes left and right, and left Susan and I in the dust! Saturday night, we went to dinner at my Aunt and Uncle’s house and got to hang out with them, along with my cousin Michelle and her sweet baby girl. I love spending time with my family. Even though I don’t live in Macon, Home is where your family is, and where love resides. I feel Home there! I feel Love there! It’s a great feeling!!
Let’s see… This past weekend, on Friday night, the Guy and I went to his parents for dinner, and then we went out with some friends. It was a wonderful night! Saturday, was BEAUTIFUL outside and I got a LOT of stuff done, including… the dreaded task of cutting the backyard! I am so glad I watched while my friend rethreaded the grass trimmer, because the line broke halfway through the job, and I was able to rethread my line PERFECTLY! My grass looks so healthy! The bad part?? Bella has white paws.. White paws on freshly mowed lawn.. equals… the dreaded Green Pawed Dog! I wish I would have taken some pictures of that, because that was a little funny! Saturday night, my best friend and her two babies came over for dinner and to spend the night. We had a great time! The kids watched movies and fell asleep on the couch and Chris and I got some good Girl Talk Time in! Sunday AM, the Guy took me to a Hibachi Grill and Buffet place for lunch. YUM! And the time spend with the Guy was awesome too! Haha.
I do hope to blog a little more when things calm down a little. I don’t even know who reads this… if anyone really does anymore.. I do have big hopes for this blog. Even if my actions don’t speak it! :-)

I’m off to get more stuff done! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week!! I will post pictures of all the above listed events later on. Haha!
