Day 4: My Parents

I realize I have been out of the loop for a few days! I apologize. We had one of our large shows last week that took a lot out of me… Primarily because I was wearing the hat of Media Host AND Show Photographer, along with being sick as a dog!! Life has somewhat returned to normal, and I survived yet another show.

So we left off last time with Day 4 “My Parents”

My parents are amazing!! After almost 40 years of marriage, they are still in love, and they are the picture of what I want in a marriage. I am not saying that they haven’t had their ups and downs, but, through those downs, they have loved like crazy.

Their love and support that they give to us (S, Me, and B) is undeniably the most honest and amazing thing. We have broken them, strengthened them, hardened them, softened them, and sometimes maybe even have taken them for granted, however, we have NEVER questioned the love that they have for us. It is pure, it is true, it is genuine, and it is powerful. My parents have NEVER once made any of us question their love.

My parents have been my main support system my entire life. Growing up, they were my parents first and foremost; and as an adult, I now know that they were, always have been, and always will be my best friends and my largest cheering section. I am tearing up right now because of the love that I have for them.

My parents work as a team. They are undivided and together they conquer the world. Through health scares, financial ups and downs, and raising three rambunctious children, they have remained steady and strong. Now that they are grandparents, their united front continues, and the love that they have for their grandchildren is unfathomable. I have always known my parents are proud of me, but the pride I see when they hold their grandchildren, or rock them to sleep, or sing goofy songs, or wear goofy hats…. It is PURE LOVE!

I truly believe that they love each more today than they did the day that they said their wedding vows. More than the day that each of their children were born…. And the only word I have is AMAZING.
